Dabawenyo celebrates its annual “Kadayawan sa Davao Festival” last August 22, 2009. The best highlight of the festival was the Indak-indak sa Kadalanan and the Floral Float Parade. Im happy to say that I was able to witness the festival which is considered as one of Davao’s pride.
I was in Davao to witness the breathtaking Indak-Indak s Kadalanan. I was so lucky because the Hotel where I stayed which is MY HOTEL is very close to the downtown area where the Kadayawan sa Davao Held. This Hotel offers affordable room rates too. The good thing is, I dont need to go in other place just to witness the festival, because when you stepped outside the hotel the parade is just in front of the hotel. In that reason, I did not miss any event of the parade. And I also watched the finals of the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan late night held at Rizal Park its just a walking a distance away from MY HOTEL where I stayed, in which my bet won as the 1st runner up.
During kadayawan cheaper things are just in front of you. Ukay-ukay, foods, accesories and other small things…. Shopping Malls are on big–big-sales!
